In homage to the legend of Kaldi and his dancing goats who discovered the wonderfully uplifting affects of the coffee bean in Ethiopia over 1000 years ago. This is our second year harvest for our Horny Goat Ethiopian coffee and we are super-stoked to have found these coffee beans from the Ye Gennet washing station in Guji, Southern Ethiopia.
Once again, there is that funky floral aroma so typical of natural process specialty coffee from Ethiopia. This complex cup delivers a zesty juicyness of mandarin oranges which then gives way to a ripe strawberry sweetness. A heavenly, textured body and medium acidity delivers a beautifully balanced cup. Ethiopia is my benchmark coffee. My favourite region. It never disappoints. Our Horny Goat coffee tells the story of the richness of natural coffees from southern Ethiopia. This perfect example of a Guji coffee delivers that added funkiness we love, the juiciness we crave and the earthiness we can’t believe. Complex, dynamic and bursting with fruit flavours. It works as a powerfully flavoured espresso and a textured and fruity tea-like filter drink. You want something beautiful and unique in your cup, you’ve found it right here!
