The goat is back in town, and we’re excited to introduce the 4th edition of Horny Goat, a fresh and vibrant Ethiopian coffee that has just landed at Jones Brothers Coffee straight from the boat. In collaboration with our partners at The Coffee Quest, who work closely with farmers and roasters, we’ve curated a unique and exciting cup of coffee that’s ready to deliver an explosion of flavour straight to your home.

Why Horny Goat? A Tribute to Coffee's Origins

Our Horny Goat coffee pays homage to the legendary origins of coffee. Over 1,000 years ago, a goat herder named Kaldi discovered his goats dancing around with newfound energy after eating the bright red cherries in the hills. Curiosity got the better of him, and Kaldi soon experienced the vibrancy for himself. From that moment, the journey of coffee began, and it hasn’t stopped since.

Much like Kaldi’s energetic goats, this edition of Horny Goat is bursting with life. Expect a vibrant, funky flavour explosion with notes of tropical fruits, raspberry, blueberry, and a sweet pomegranate finish. It’s rich, juicy, and sure to leave a lasting impression.

An Exceptional Ethiopian Harvest from Sidama Bensa

This year, after tasting 12 incredible Ethiopian coffees, we selected this single-origin lot from the Sidama region. Grown at altitudes of 1920 to 2020 metres in the Bombe mountains, these beans have developed rich and fruity flavours thanks to the natural processing method. The cherries are dried on African beds for 14 to 18 days, allowing the coffee to take on the full essence of its vibrant environment.
